The Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Museum is a popular tourist spot which is dedicated to one of the most famous freedom fighters of India. The museum is about 4kms from Kurseong Town. Once a temporary residence of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the museum is located in Netaji’s elder brother’s residence. It has pictures, documents and articles related to Netaji during his house imprisonment by the British. It transports the person back to the age when India was still under British rule. There is a lot that a person gets to learn about Indian Independence in person. The museum was inaugurated on 23rd April, 2000 by the then Minister Incharge for Higher Education in the Government of West Bengal. It is a must visit place for the people who love history and the past along with wanting to know the past of our country. Today, the museum also acts as an institute for Himalayan Language & Culture Studies and offers excellent views of the valley.
