Dawaipani”, a very new destination in West Bengal, India is very near to Darjeeling town and very far from our hectic city life. The place where one can take the breath on the lap of nature. This village is surrounded by Pine trees and renowned tea estates like Lamahatta Tea estate, Glenburn Tea estate, Takdah Tea estate. Only 135 houses are there in the village. The main attraction of this village is the uninterrupted view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the clear view of Namchi chardham or Samdruptse Monastery and the Darjeeling town . You will feel like you are somewhere in space when you see the glittering of light of Darjeeling town at night. It’s a fast upcoming travel destination yet a very peaceful place. Situated at a mild height of about 6500 feet, this place will certainly make you feel a lot more refreshed with its crisp n cool air. Dawaipani meaning in local language is ‘Medicated water’, the name derived from local river (Khola) which passes through the village.
