Singtom Tea Estate & Resort is the world’s oldest tea estate resort and is located in one of the most famous travel destinations in the country- Darjeeling. Built way back in 1862 by the Chirimar family, Situated merely 20 kilometers from the Darjeeling town, Singtom Tea Estate spans across 1,600 acres of a tea plantation with River Rangeet and Mount Kanchenjunga at the doorstep. It’s an old British styled estate bungalow in the middle of a beautiful garden. You can catch the picturesque view of 60 Himalayan peaks and enjoy nature at its best. It boasts of 4 luxurious suites offering gorgeous views of the hills and tea gardens.  The average height of the estate is about 4500 ft. This estate is at a higher altitude, produces a beautiful quality of Darjeeling Tea – black, green and white.

Singtom Tea Estate runs a luxurious resort on their tea estate, Built in 1862 Singtom tea estate resort is the world's oldest tea estate-resort. Located only 20 minutes away from Darjeeling. Few homestays are also run by locals in nearby villages.
From Bagdogra airport or NJP station, you will first need to come up to Darjeeling lower town (known as Chowk Bazaar) and continue along Lebong Cart Road for 15 minutes to reach Singmari taxi stand. From there it's another 4kms and takes about 12 minutes - a steep narrow downhill lane leads to Singtom tea estate and the resort. The total one way trip duration would be about 3 hours from NJP or Bagdogra in normal traffic conditions.
