    Palmajua at an altitude of 7250 ft is a small village situated in the district of Darjeeling, West Bengal. Its a Offbeat destination popular among travelers who wants the serenity and tranquility of the mountainous region. Palmajua being nestled within the Singalila National Park and being a completely calm and quiet region attracts a lot of rare species of birds that why it has become popular amongst the bird-watchers community. It’s a destination within the lap of mother nature where you can plan to spend a day or two to rejuvenate yourself.

    Palmajua main attraction is the Singalila National Park. Singalila national park is home to the Red Panda, Pangolin and about 170 species of birds. You can visit Dhotrey, Rimbik, Srikhola and Meghma from Palmajua. Adventure lovers can go for short treks from the village to the nearby forest.

    Nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB) 110 km and railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP)113 km , direct taxi/car available from Airport, NJP and Siliguri. This village is located 102 km away from Siliguri through Matigara, Kurseong, Sonada and Ghoom. Palmajua is 27 km from Manebhanjyang and 8.5 km from Dhotre. You also can reach Palmajua from Darjeeling and distance about 52 kms through Sukhia Maneybhanjyang road.
