Among the top attractions in Kalimpong, Mac Farlen Church is momentous one. It was built in the year 1890 to 1891 and since then, it is adding lots of tourists from all over the world every year. Actually, Scottish Missionaries took effortless measures to place an idea of constructing such an amazing sacred building and finally, their efforts resulted into a magnificent church in 1891. In former times, the lectures presented in the Church were used to be in ten types of languages namely Lepcha, Sanskrit, Chinese, Bengali, Nepali, Bodo, Hindi, English, Tibetan and Urdu. Sounds interesting!! Mac Farlen Church in Kalimpong is not to be missed place!! There is morning / afternoon worship every Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and this is the best time to visit the church. Photography requires permission from the Church authorities. Eating and drinking is not allowed inside the church.
